About the method of kinematics excercises resolution.
CANT DO IT is an infallible method. With this I want to say that if you learn the method, you are going to be able to solve these and any other problem of kinematics on Earth.
This method, which I propose to you, is different to any other methos you usually see in your course or even books. The usual method used there is explained in this link (if you want to take a look).
Our method counts of 7 steps:
1. DO AN SCHEME
2. MAKE UP THE HOURLY EQUATIONS
3. USE THE HOURLY EQUATIONS
4. COUNT THE QUANTITY OF EQUATIONS AND UNKNOWN QUANTITIES
5. SOLVE THE EQUATIONS
6. DO THE GRAPHS
7. ENJOY LIFE
Wathever you believe me or not, you´ll find out that we resolve every excersice in the same way: i’d say it´s annoyingly boring. I’ll show you the steps in some excersices. But we always reach to step 7.
Why is this methos good? Because it is robust; I mean there is no excercise – even if it seems complicated in words – that couldnt be solves as easily than the others. It’s easy, because it just uses the hourly equations of the movementes thata appeared in the excersice. The pupil that learns this method attends to the exam without fear. We also think it´s good the fact of the importance of step 2 that it involves, which is one of the most important thing you can take whit you from the CBC Physics course. There it resides what i call “physics for exportation”; I mean physics that are going to be useful for you whatever your future studies´ll be. Finally, I think it´s godd you coul understand where physics ends and algebra starts.
Why is this method bad? An excersice, which could be solved in 2 or 3 steps, takes 7. It stimulates neither the creativity, nor the occurrence, nor the inspiration, does not even avoid the fall of the hair ... only it solves problems of kinematics.
At the end of every exercise you are going to find a challenge. Generally it is a question of a variant on the problem that we have just resolved, sometimes a bit more difficult, or maybe not. But to solve the challenge does that you still have the original problem engraved forever. Do not forget that an advanced student solves 150 % of the available problems.
